Sen. Peralta Distributes more than One Thousand Toys at Queens Center
(East Elmhurst, NY)
During the toy drive, representatives from about 20 schools, four family shelters and local organizations collected the Christmas gifts. The presents will go to children, among other locations, at the LaGuardia Family Center, The Landing, Kings Inn Shelter, and the Corona Family Residence.
“Each year we organize this toy drive to give back to the community, to make sure needy children also have a reason to smile about this holiday season,”
NYPD Commissioner James P. O’Neill said, “Providing a gift to a child is a small gesture that can have a meaningful impact on a family during this holiday season. The NYPD is proud to participate in the Toys for Tots program with our community partners.”
John Scaturro, Senior Manager for Marketing at Queens Center, said, “Each year, Queens Center joins Senator Jose Peralta in a local, community Toy Drive. This year Queens Center is proud, once again to provide toys for underprivileged families in our community and a venue to publically distribute those toys through community organizations that serve families and children. During this time of family celebration we believe it’s important to remember those less fortunate families in our community and working with Senator Peralta, we know that our contribution to this effort will get to those in need.”
“Woodside on the Move is proud to sponsor the annual Toy Drive which will benefit Queens’ families during the holidays,”
