First lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Mrs Aisha Buhari is currently on a visit to the President in London. This is contained in a statement by Bisi Olumide-Ajayi, the first lady’s spokesperson. She disclosed that the wife of the president embarked on the journey on Tuesday, May 29 to check her husband who has been away for three weeks on medical vacation.
Bisi Olumide-Ajayi said: “The wife of the president, Her Excellency, Mrs Aisha Buhari today (Tuesday) left for the United Kingdom. Her Excellency will spend some time with her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, who is presently on medical vacation.”
She (Bisi Olumide-Ajayi) reported that the first lady appreciated and acknowledged all the well meaning Nigerians who are praying for the recovery of her husband. Bisi Olumide – Ajayi said: ” She (The First Lady) expressed her appreciation to the millions of Nigerians who have been praying for his (The President’ s) quick and safe return.”
It should be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari left Nigeria for United Kingdom on the 7th of May for Medical reasons. And that the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo have since been in charge of the affairs of the country.
