Real Madrid President offers Zidane a lifetime coach contract
Zidane from the start of his career, as a renowned footballer to this time as manager of the standing Champions League title holder, has always been a celebrated man of a rare sort. His elegance and mastery at things he does have been his trumpet all along. The french man has rewritten the history of football as the only coach in the world to secure two Champions League cups in instantaneous successions.
Little wonder why the President of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, out of excitement and sense of appreciation of the french man’s contribution to the club’s record has offered to have Zidane coach the team for as long as he lives.
It is reported that the President, during a talk on Cadena Ser, described the 44 year old coach as the best coach in the world, reminding the world Zidane was the best player in the world in 2001.
“Zidane can stay at Real Madrid for the rest of his life,” Perez declared on air. “Every Real Madrid fan is so grateful to him, he lifted our level of talent when he arrived in 2001 and was the best player in the world.
“Now he is the best coach in the world. He has been our coach for 17 months but he has done everything possible.”
Saturday’s victory no doubt has urshered a new era and terrain for the coach. While responding to the offer, Zidane disclosed his indecision at the moment, thanking the club for the opportunity accorded to him to serve in a coach’s capacity.
“I can’t say whether I’ll stay for the rest of my life but I’m so grateful for the club for everything it has given me, Zidane submitted.
