BREAKING: Moon sighted in Jordan, Indonesia, Saudi, and Others, Eid declared

On Sunday 25 June 2017, Muslims of Gulf region including some of Asian countries are celebrating the ‘Eid ul Fitr’ with love and warmth. This celebration is commemorating the end of fasting in the month of Ramadan.

According to Al-Jazeera, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and other Arab countries are celebrating the first day of Eid by making different traditional dishes.

Al-Arabiya reported that The United Arab Emirates and Qatar have confirmed that the Eid will be celebrated on Sunday.

While Iran, Oman, Morocco, Bangladesh, Pakistan, India, Brunei and Sri-Lanka have not sighted the moon, and thus declared Monday 26, June 2017 as the first day of Eid-ul-Fitr. These countries started Ramadan on May 28, 2017.

Turkey had previously announced Eid on 25 June, 2017 based on astronomical Calculation.

Eid without cultural and traditional food is not possible. Asia is known by the traditional foods. Middle Eastern countries and span the region up to Central Asia Kebobs, beef and lamb skewers and patties grilled are popular “Eid dishes in the Middle East and Central Asia’.

Eidul Fitri is the festival of “breaking the fast” marks the end of the Muslim Holy fasting month of Ramadan.
