Covid-19: Saudi records new 7,142 cases, 4 deaths
Saudi Arabia has recorded new cases of coronavirus.
Disclosing this on Friday April 17, 2020, the country’s Ministry of Health stated that the total number of infections in the Kingdom is 7,142.
The ministry has also reported another 4 deaths from the novel virus, taking to 87 the Kingdom’s death toll.
“Highly-qualified medical teams are visiting densely populated neighborhoods and the intensified COVID-19 screening and expanded tests have resulted in detecting half of the cases announced recently,” the ministry added.
Saudi has announced fresh precautionary measures to limit the spread of coronavirus.
The Ministry of Interior has said it is imposing 24-hour curfew in Samtah and Addayer governorates.
The ministry affirmed that such precautionary measures are meant to protect the society and are subject to review.
It noted that the public awareness has reduced cases of violation to the curfew.
