Saudi records 1, 227 new coronavirus cases

Saudi Arabia has announced 1,227 new coronavirus cases.

While disclosing this on Sunday August 16, 2020, the Ministry of Health stated that the new cases have increased the Kingdom’s tally to 298,542.

Of the new cases, 62 were recorded in Riyadh, 57 in Jazan, 57 in Jeddah, 56 in Makkah and 36 in Madinah.

The health ministry said 39 more patients died from the COVID-19 disease, bringing the country’s death toll to 3,408.

The total number of recoveries in the Kingdom increased to 266,953 after 2,466 more patients recovered from the virus.
