US business people to invest in Swaziland

The leader of Swaziland, his His Majesty King Mswati III has said that the Swazi delegation which returned yesterday from United Nations General Assembly had an opportunity to meet with various USA business people who after being informed about available business opportunities in the kingdom said they are to go and invest there.

He said they met a good number of  business people who interacted with their team and on learning of business opportunities in Swaziland are keen to going there soon to open up businesses.

He said, while addressing the press ‘We had a successful trip to the United Nations.It gave gave us a chance to promote the country and invite business people who want to come to Swaziland. Some of those we met have committed to come to Swaziland soon’.

The king who led the Swaziland delegation to USA reportedly met  with a number of businessmen in USA including well-known and reputable jeweller, Jacob Arabo of Jacob and Co with whom they discussed business issues.

Mswati said that during the debates at UN, countries were happy when they learnt about the conventions ratified by Swaziland.

He said ‘We told them that we had  a forum where the people had a chance to debate the conventions. They praised us on having ratified the conventions as they would be of help to the country in a number of issues.’

According to some officials who were with him in USA,the king also held had private meetings with some international  leaders including the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki Moon, Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma, World Bank President Jim Yong Kim and others.
