Ferry Point park, Bronx:
Bangladesh Academy of Fine Arts has arranged a student appreciation barbecue party for both parents and students on behalf of dance school on August 13, 2016 in Ferry point park located at Bronx. All of the Students and parents enjoyed a whole day fun activities which include games and fishing. Besides, kids enjoyed watermelon, chicken, homemade juice, mango vorta, jhalmuri etc. The dance teacher and choreographer- Anup Kumar Das, Farida Yasmin- president of the school, Shamim Ara Begum- Treasurer, Farzana Yasmin, and all parents and students were happy to see themselves outside of school away from regular classroom unlike every Saturday.

The vision of the school is to developing students as professional dancer in classical indian dance (Katthak, Vorot Natyom, etc). The school welcome culturally diverse students who wants to learn classic dance. The school already staged a classic dance drama “Chandalika” which focus on equal rights in face of discrimination in the age of social taboos in India.
The writer of this report, Mohammad Nasirullah, a student of BAFA, a poet and an insurance professional, acted the role of Buddhist monk in the play. The play involves teaching of lord Buddha on women rights and inequality issues. The play was staged in Baruch college, Manhattan and in PS 106 , Bronx in current year.
