Aisha Buhari, wife of the Nigeria’s President, was reported to have returned on Tuesday, 5th of June, from her visit to the President in the United Kingdom, to check the status of his health. The first lady, following her return has disclosed that her Husband was recovering and about the time to join the country again.
Aisha Buhari stated this in a statement via her spokesperson, Suleiman Haruna, appreciating well meaning Nigerians who have been praying for the recovery of her husband. She assured them of his return and employed them and to in the meantime to support the Acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, as he pilot the affairs of the country in the President’ s absence.
She also extended the President’s goodwill message to the citizens and his sincere appreciation to his deputy who has been acting in his capacity.
“Mr. President thanked the acting President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for his loyalty and called on Nigerians to continue to support the acting President in his effort to actualize the mandate of the All Progressives Congress.”
Although, Nigerians still look forward to the return of President Buhari while Professor Yemi Osinbajo continues as the Administrator of Nigeria. The reality in Nigeria, as of today on the President’s return is however not cordial. The country is currently divided on choice.
There is an agitation from some sect who feels the President should stay out of power by stepping down to concentrate on his health. They cited Late former President’s case as example and recommended that Nigeria need learn for history.
