It was an unbelievable sight as police recovered the dismembered remains of a 7 years old Kazeem Rafiu in the church operated by one Eri Imole who claimed to be a prophet operating in Odokekere part of Ikorodu.
Kazeem Rafiu was allegedly missing following his mother’s return from an outing. It was reported that Kazeem’s mother had taken her wards (Kazeem and his five siblings) to their co-tenant’s apartment before leaving off to attend to some needs. It was report by Vanguard Newspaper that one of the remaining five kids had assisted in discovering the crime committed by this Christian missionary.
“It was further gathered that on the boy’s mother’s return later in the day, he was nowhere to be found and on further inquiry it was learned that the Pastor had lured the boy to his church. Unknown to the cleric, one of the boy’s siblings saw him taking Kazeem away,” Vanguard Newspaper reported.
It was later learnt that the pastor was found wandering when a group of vigilante group who promptly alerted the community. Pastor later confessed to the deed of his dirty hands. He disclosed that he sold the boy to ritualists for N130 000. He informed the police that the boy will be used for rituals at a place called first gate in Ikorodu by 4am.
It was unfortunate however that the police couldn’t make it down to the site before the time. Vanguard Newspaper reported that the police men arrived 5 minutes past the said time. And all that was met was the remains of the boy with his head buried in a shallow grave within the Church’s uncompleted building.
In line of seeking for justice, the matter has since been relied to the Baale of the land. And he assured the people to step in to ensure punishment is melted on the criminals.
“May I state clearly that this kind of matter will not be swept under the carpet and I promise to do the needful by ensuring that the Police do a good job.”
