Southampton welcomes new coach less than two weeks after the eviction of old manager

Perhaps, Southampton has found their acclaimed more mature head to manage the club with their signing of 45-year-old Mauricio Pellegrino. Pellegrino has joined the club in a three year contract to manage the team as new coach.

In is welcome speech to Southampton, speaking to Southamptonfc.com, Pellegrino expresses delight as he joins the club, noting that his philosophy and that of the club are synonymous ideologies.

“I am really happy to become the new coach of Southampton Football Club.

“The club has a great reputation for having a strong and stable structure, competing in the Premier League and playing attractive football. I think my philosophy and the culture of the club will work well together.”

Meanwhile, “Spain’s public prosecutor has” according to Vanguard Newspaper, “agreed to substitute Lionel Messi’s suspended 21-month prison sentence for tax fraud with a fine.”

It should be recalled that Messi was given a jail term last July after being found guilty of three counts of tax fraud. After an appeal rejection in May, public prosecutor has finally agreed to substitute the sentence for a fine at the tune of 255,000 euros.
